Rangers move Saturday game to 11:05 a.m.

ARLINGTON, Texas – The Texas Rangers don't want to have the weather having any sort of impact on their postseason hopes so they've made a change to the Saturday schedule.

Saturday's game against the Los Angeles Angels, which was originally slated for 7:05 p.m., has been moved to 11:05 a.m. because of the threat of inclement weather Saturday night.

The game will still be televised on FOX Sports Southwest.

"With the possibility of heavy rain affecting Saturday night's game, we feel it is prudent to start earlier in the day," commented Rangers CEO Nolan Ryan. "We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause for our fans, but we believe this is the best alternative given the circumstances and the fact it is the last weekend of the regular season."

Parking lots at Rangers Ballpark will open at 9 a.m. and the gates open at 9:30 a.m.

Weather in Arlington last year during the final week of the season forced the Rangers into playing a doubleheader against the Los Angeles Angels. Texas split those games and ended up losing the American League West by one game to Oakland.
