Rangers finalize minor-league staffs
The Texas Rangers have set their minor-league coaching staff and there will be new managers at three of the affiliates.
Jason Wood, who managed at Double-A Frisco last year, is moving up to Triple A as he'll take over as the manager of the Round Rock Express. Joe Mikulik, who was the manager for Class A Myrtle Beach, is moving to Frisco to take over the Double-A vacancy with the Roughriders. Spike Owen, who has been on the Round Rock coaching staff, is moving west as he'll be the manager for the new Texas High A affiliate High Desert.
The only two managers returning to the same team in 2015 are Corey Ragsdale (Class A Hickory) and Tim Hulett (Class A short season Spokane).
The organization is also moved a pair of its hitting coaches, with Jose Perez going back to Hickory after two seasons at Myrtle Beach and Bobby Rose going from Hickory to High Desert.
Pitching coaches at all six of the affiliates will remain the same.
