ST. LOUIS -- The NFL's biggest experiment is officially over, at least in St. Louis.

The Rams waived two players Wednesday. But injured linebacker Phillip Steward's dismissal was overshadowed, literally, by Terrell Brown's.

Brown, a 6-foot-10, 403-pound lineman out of Ole Miss, made headlines when he arrived at Rams organized team activities as an undrafted rookie free agent. According to STATS LLC, he was the largest active player (in both size and weight) in the entire league.

Rams coach Jeff Fisher said the super-sized lineman's best fit would be at offensive tackle, but Brown quickly showed anyone who observed him during drills the unfortunate downside of his size -- a lack of flexibility and coordination.

The same factors limited Brown in college as he bounced between offense and defense in search of a position. The Rams apparently didn't see things working out at the next level, either. They ended the big show early, before training camp got off the ground.
