Rams boast five first-rounders on D-line for second straight year after Easley signing

On Wednesday, former Patriots defensive tackle Dominique Easley put pen to paper signing with the LA Rams on a one-year deal. Drafted No. 29 in 2014, Easley joins Aaron Donald, Robert Quinn, Michael Brockers and Quinton Coples as the fifth former first-round selection on the Rams' defensive line.
This isn't the first time the Rams have put together a DL of impressive draft picks. Last season, the team also counted five former first-rounders on their DL -- Easley joins the Rams from the Patriots, the team LA lost former first-round defensive end Chris Long to this offseason.
Let's take a closer look at the Rams' collection of first-round talent at DL starting with the new kid on the block...

Dominique Easley joins the Rams from the aforementioned Patriots. Possessing the talent to back up his first-round selection, Easley's biggest hurdle will be staying healthy having been injured in both of his first two seasons in the league. He'll be expected to fill a depth role in 2016 for the next guy...
Aaron Donald is being touted as the best player in the NFL in just his third season. A first-round pick out of the University of Pittsburgh, Donald has been a Pro Bowler in back-to-back seasons and was named Pro Football Focus' 2015 Defensive Player of the Year. Donald's stellar play on the DL helped ease a bit of the pain felt by the loss of...
Robert Quinn played in just half of the Rams' games in 2015 following consecutive Pro Bowl selections. In 2013, Quinn led the NFC in sacks with 18. The Rams will be hoping their No. 14 pick from 2011 is back to full healthy this year but if not...
Quinton CoplesĀ will be asked to fill in for Quinn if he can't go. Coples, a former teammate of Quinn's at the University of North Carolina, split time between the Jets and Dolphins last season playing both outside linebacker and DE. Coples came to the NFL as the No. 16 pick in 2012, two picks before...
Michael Brockers has been solid for the Rams since being picked No. 14 in 2012. Serving as Donald's right-hand man on the DL, Brockers had 11 sacks in just 13 games last season giving the Rams a stout two-headed monster in the middle of their defenseĀ for 2016.
