Rain postpones Daytona race, but not fireworks show
Race cars can't race in the rain, and fireworks simply don't look as good daylight.
Saturday night, persistent rains forced NASCAR to postpone the start of the Coke Zero 400 to Sunday morning. The the annual night race turning into a Sunday morning event, Daytona International Speedway officials decided the show must go one - the fireworks show, that is.
Despite the rain, the speedway put on a spectacular fireworks display once the rain was officially called.
