TUCSON, Ariz. – Former Chaparral High School coach Charlie Ragle will replace Spencer Leftwich as tight ends coach on Rich Rodriguez's staff at Arizona.

Leftwich is leaving the program to take an unspecified position at another Division I program, according to a release from Arizona's media relations staff.

“I want to thank Spencer Leftwich for the good job he did during his time at Arizona,” Rodriguez said. “He was a valued member of our staff and we wish him luck in the future.”

“From the bottom of my heart, I’m so grateful and appreciative to Rich Rodriguez for giving me the opportunity to work with him and our staff at Arizona,” Leftwich said. “I thoroughly enjoyed my time in Tucson and the success we had this year. This is an opportunity, to get my whole family together, that I just couldn’t pass up.”

Ragle was promoted to the on-field staff from his position of assistant director of operations. Billy Kirelawich will fill Ragle's former position.
