QB Trevor Knight out for Oklahoma vs. Kansas

BY foxsports • November 17, 2014

Oklahoma quarterback Trevor Knight has been ruled out of Oklahoma's game against Kansas on Saturday, coach Bob Stoops said Monday.

Redshirt freshman Cody Thomas will earn his second career start after completing 10 of 20 passes for 133 yards, a touchdown and three interceptions in Oklahoma's 42-30 win at Texas Tech last week. He also ran for 103 yards and a touchdown on eight carries.

Knight took a blow to the head against Baylor on Nov. 8 and multiple reports suggested he suffered temporary paralysis from the hit. He was carted off the field but later left the team facility under his own power.

All tests for serious damage last week came back negative, but Oklahoma did not rule out Knight for the Texas Tech game until last Thursday, saying he was still too sore to play.
