Podcast: Will Indiana roll through East region?
ATLANTA --
The Miami Hurricanes and their fans surely thought they deserved 1-seed
recognition. After all, Miami became the first team in history to win
the ACC regular season and tournament titles and not be handed top-seed
honors.
As a reward, Jim Larranaga's bunch gets Indiana, a team
that reached the top of the national polls multiple times this season.
However, in a regional that could open up nicely for the experienced
Hurricanes--Marquette (3), Syracuse (4), UNLV (5) and Butler (6) are not
exactly daunting tasks--Larranaga has to like his odds to make another
Final Four run like he did in 2006.
But the Hoosiers are a 1-seed
for a reason, as Victor Oladipo and Cody Zeller head a bunch plenty
talented enough to cut down the nets. So, in a relatively soft region,
who comes out on top?
Our FOX Sports South college basketball
team--Zach Dillard, Jay Clemons and Cory McCartney--convened to talk
about Indiana's odds at making its first Final Four run under Tom Crean,
as well as other top storylines. Here are the highlights:
-- Where are the upsets this tournament? In an East region with plenty of potential for drama, will a Cinderella emerge?
--
Indiana was considered the nation's best team multiple times this
season, but will the Hoosiers make it to Atlanta to prove their mettle
on the biggest stage?

East teams, to make an Elite Eight run? Could there be a surprise team
playing in Washington D.C.?
