The winners will be revealed Tuesday beginning at 7 p.m. on ESPN2.
Phillips has won the award three times, in 2008, 2010 and 2011. His competition this year includes Mark Ellis of the Dodgers and Cubs second baseman Darwin Barney, who won the award last year.
Bruce, who will have to beat out Gerardo Parra of the Diamondbacks and Atlanta's Jason Heyward, is a three-time finalist, but has never won the award.
Managers and coaches vote on the award, but the SABR Defensive Index will account for approximately 25 percent of the balloting this year.
