Pelicans' Davis named to NBA All-Defensive second team
The Pelicans star power forward Anthony Davis can now add another first to his growing list of accolades.
Wednesday the NBA announced that Davis is among those players named to the All-Defensive Second Team.
Davis is just the second player in New Orleans franchise history to receive All-Defensive Team honors, along with Chris Paul, who was named to the first team in 2009 and the second team in 2008.

NBA All-Defensive Second Team:
Anthony Davis, New Orleans Pelicans
Jimmy Butler, Chicago Bulls
Andrew Bogut, Golden State Warriors
John Wall, Washington Wizards
Tim Duncan, San Antonio Spurs
Davis certainly left his mark on the NBA this season. He led the league blocks per game (2.9) and total blocked shots (200). The 3rd year player was also 7th in the NBA when it comes to defensive rebounds, averaging 7.7 defensive boards per game.
