Pakistan wins toss, fielding first vs WIndies in 1st T20
DUBAI, United Arab Emirates (AP) Pakistan captain Sarfraz Ahmed won the toss and opted to field against World Twenty20 champion the West Indies in the first Twenty20 on Friday.
Middle-order batsman Umar Akmal was summoned by Pakistan after scoring heavily in the National T20 Cup, while fast bowler Mohammad Amir, who was married this week, was being rested for the first game of the three-match series.
West Indies awarded a T20 debut to exciting left-handed batsman Nicholas Pooran as the world champion looked to youngsters in the absence of stars Chris Gayle and Andre Russell.
