Padres Hall of Fame edition of #SDLive with Santiago and Templeton debuts Tuesday
SAN DIEGO -- FOX Sports San Diego (FSSD) will debut a special Padres Hall of Fame edition of #SDLive tonight following live coverage of the San Diego Padres vs. Cincinnati Reds, featuring 2015 Padres Hall of Fame inductees, Benito Santiago and Garry Templeton.
Santiago and Templeton became the 10th and 11th members of the Padres Hall of Fame on Aug. 8, joining Buzzie Bavasi, Nate Colbert, Jerry Coleman, Tony Gwynn, Trevor Hoffman, Randy Jones, Ray Kroc, Dick Williams and Dave Winfield.
#SDLive host Mike Pomeranz sits down with Santiago and Templeton to talk about what it means to become members of the Padres Hall of Fame and the significance of playing in San Diego. Santiago describes his journey from Puerto Rico to the big leagues and what it was like throwing out runners from his knees. Templeton gives his perspective on switch-hitting, then and now, and describes how the game has changed since his career ended.
Each of the newly-inducted Padres Hall of Famers share their love for San Diego and talk about what's next for them, both inside and outside of the MLB.
