Packers sign undrafted running back Brandon Ross

The Green Bay Packers have signed undrafted free agent running back Brandon Ross, the team announced Wednesday.

The 5-foot-10, 205-pound Ross played four seasons at Maryland and ran for 958 yards and 10 toucdowns as a senior, leading the Big Ten at 6.4 yards per carry. He finished his college career with 2,543 rushing yards, good for fourth in school history.

Ross joins a Packers backfield that features Eddie Lacy, James Starks, John Crockett and others. He signed with the Minnesota Vikings on May 2 but was released May 23.
