The Green Bay Packers on Saturday signed tight end Justin Perillo to their active roster from the practice squad, while also releasing offensive tackle Jamon Meredith.

Perillo, a 6-foot-3, 250-pound rookie out of the University of Maine, was originally signed by the Packers as a non-drafted free agent in May. He had spent the entire regular season to this point on Green Bay's practice squad. Perillo made 35 career starts as a collegian, recording 128 receptions for 1,318 yards and 15 touchdowns. He will wear No. 80 for the Packers.

Green Bay hosts Philadelphia at 3:25 p.m. on Sunday.
