Packers sign RB Crockett to active roster, release Harris

The Packers on Thursday announced they have signed running back John Crockett to the active roster from the practice squad and released fellow rusher Alonzo Harris.

Crockett, a 6-foot, 217-pound rookie out of North Dakota State, was originally signed by Green Bay as an undrafted free agent back in early May. He had spent the entire regular season on the Packers' practice squad up to this point. Crockett played in 46 games with 17 starts in college and produced three consecutive 1,000-yard seasons. He'll wear No. 38 for Green Bay.

The 23-year-old is a native of Minneapolis.
