Eight months after tearing the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee during a training camp practice, offensive lineman Don Barclay has signed his restricted free agent tender with the Green Bay Packers.

Barclay, 25, was given the low free-agent tender of $1.542 million by the Packers for the 2015 season. He'll then be able to hit unrestricted free agency next offseason.

Barclay's wife, Brea, posted the following message on her Instagram account: "Soo proud of @barclay_67 for signing his contract today for another great year with the Packers! It's been a long year, sometimes tough, but a learning experience in itself! We are so proud of how hard you've fought to get back to where you are to have this opportunity! Looking forward to an amazing year with the Packer family! Cooper, Rocky and I are soo lucky to have you! Go Pack Go!"

With Green Bay re-signing right tackle Bryan Bulaga earlier this offseason, Barclay will resume his role as a swing offensive lineman capable of stepping in and playing any position. Barclay has started 21 games in his career, but barring injury, the Packers have no starting spots up for grabs.

Meanwhile, Green Bay's other restricted free agent, safety Sean Richardson, will find out by April 13 if he's staying with the Packers. Richardson signed an offer sheet with the Oakland Raiders on Tuesday, giving Green Bay five days to match.
