GREEN BAY, Wis. — It was only a few weeks ago when Packers coach Mike McCarthy had the difficult decision of selecting which healthy players to make inactive on the team's game-day roster. He won't have that luxury this weekend.
Wide receiver Greg Jennings is awaiting surgery on his rectus abdominis tear and veteran safety Charles Woodson is out at least one month with a broken collarbone, but Green Bay's injury woes don't end there.
The Packers also will enter Sunday's home game against the Jacksonville Jaguars without several other starters. Fullback John Kuhn (hamstring), cornerback Sam Shields (ankle) and outside linebacker Nick Perry (knee) all have been officially ruled out.
It's possible that quarterback Aaron Rodgers won't have wide receiver Jordy Nelson on the field with him, either. Nelson is listed as questionable due to a hamstring injury and did not practice Thursday or Friday.
In order to be cleared for Sunday's game, Nelson will have to pass a series of tests from the team's medical staff a couple hours before the noon kickoff at Lambeau Field.
The one piece of good news for the Packers is that nose tackle B.J. Raji (ankle) is probable. Raji has missed the past two games, practiced Thursday in pads, but sat out Friday's practice.
"If nothing changes in the next 48 hours, I feel very confident in B.J. playing," McCarthy said.
Rodgers (calf), wide receiver Donald Driver (neck), tight end Jermichael Finley (shoulder), left guard T.J. Lang (elbow/wrist), center Jeff Saturday (neck) and running back James Starks (illness) all are probable.
