Pacers fall to Howard and Magic
INDIANAPOLIS (AP) -- Dwight Howard overcame a slow start to score 25 points, Jameer Nelson converted the go-ahead three-point play, and the Orlando Magic beat the Indiana Pacers 90-86 on Saturday night.
Howard scored six first-half points, then had five in the third quarter and 14 in the fourth.
Nelson was fouled on a 10-foot jumper that gave Orlando an 87-86 lead with 33 seconds remaining. He made the free throw for an 88-86 lead.
James Posey, whose 3-pointer on the previous possession gave Indiana its lone lead of the fourth quarter, missed a 3-pointer on the ensuing possession.
