Outback Bowl a chance for Florida to kick off 2011 the right way

Florida will make its 20th consecutive bowl appearance on January 1st in Tampa. The Outback Bowl came as a bit of surprise to many in the Gator nation, including coach Urban Meyer. Florida will face Penn State from the Big 10, an opponent with a lot of the same characteristics as Florida.

Joe Paterno is a living legend and the Nittany Lions finished 7-5 (4-4) in their conference which is exactly how the Gators finished. Penn State even had their share of quarterback issues, having lost an experienced playmaker from last year
