Our Comment of the Day comes from Anthony Dodge

With the disappointment Browns fans felt upon hearing the news of Brian Hoyer's season-ending knee injury, it came as no surprise a discussion would ensue about what happens next.

While we were tempted to pick the suggestion the Browns acquire Tim Tebow to enter the season, we chose a post from Anthony Dodge as our Comment of the Day thanks to his comparison of Hoyer to former starter Brandon Weeden.

Hoyer was a sparkplug. Weeden's stats actually look nice, BUT... he showed all the evidence of the same old problems he has had since becoming a pro: he is late with his throws- especially crossing routes, he has NO/ZERO/NONE AT ALL pocket awareness- he never feels the pressure and takes stupid sacks that Hoyer proved he could avoid in his 2+ games, Weeden locks onto one receiver and does not get his progressions. I fear that, as teams realize that it is Weeden back there, the blitzes will pick up. The OL, which had looked stout (if not good) with Hoyer, suddenly look susceptible with Weeden back there. teams know Weeden is a Deer-in-the-headlights statue, and will adjust accordingly. A shame. I hope his benching will change him, but his attitude and demeanor have always said otherwise.

Thanks, Anthony!
