Ohio State wide receiver Devin Smith, who led the Big Ten with 20.6 yards per catch last season, earned All-America honorable mention as a member of the Buckeyes' 4x100-meter relay team at the NCAA outdoor track and field championships Wednesday in Eugene, Ore.
The team of Smith, Demoye Bogle, Nick Batcha and Timothy Faust finished 17th overall in qualifying with a time of 40.08.
Smith is a junior-to-be for Urban Meyer's football Buckeyes and one of nine starters returning on offense this fall. He caught 30 passes for 618 yards and six touchdowns last season.
