Oregon and Auburn can start planning a trip to the desert and a game for the national title. TCU will likely get a once-in-a-lifetime chance to play in the Rose Bowl as a consolation prize.

The Ducks (12-0) and Tigers (13-0) each won Saturday to stay undefeated and lock up trips to the BCS title game, Jan. 10 in Glendale, Ariz. The nation's other undefeated team was TCU (12-0), but the Horned Frogs got no help and seem sure to wind up on the outside looking in.

Oregon, No. 1 in the AP Top 25, defeated Oregon State 37-20 to close out its regular season and No. 2 Auburn defeated No. 18 South Carolina 56-17 in the SEC title game. They will officially be invited to the BCS title game Sunday, when TCU seems assured of an invite to the Rose and the teams in the Orange, Fiesta and Sugar Bowls also will be announced.
