FALUN, Sweden (AP) Olympic champion Carina Vogt of Germany added another gold medal to her collection by winning the women's ski jump Friday at the Nordic skiing world championships.
Vogt put together two strong jumps as the other favorites faltered, earning 236.9 points to beat Yuki Ito of Japan by 1.8 points.
World Cup leader Daniela Iraschko-Stolz of Austria led after the first round but had a disappointing second jump and settled for bronze.
Sara Takanashi of Japan, the two-time overall World Cup champion, again failed to live up to expectations at a major event and finished fourth, just as she had at the Olympics in Sochi last year.
