Beamer Gets Defensive: Virginia Tech football coach Frank Beamer was asked earlier this week about his team passing the ball just twice in its last 74 offensive snaps inside the red zone, which dates back to early last season. He clearly took the question a bit personally, as if the writer who asked it was poking holes at the philosophy. But the coach rebounded, as he always does.
