Northern Colorado beats NAU women

GREELEY, Colo. - Northern Arizona women's basketball lost to Northern Colorado, 72-58, in the Butler-Hancock Center on Thursday. The Lumberjacks' Tyler Stephens-Jenkins scored a season-high 22 points in the defeat.
NAU (7-13, 2-5 Big Sky) found itself down 16 points at halftime after Northern Colorado came out shooting 58 percent. The Lumberjacks made 27 percent of their first-half shots and trailed 38-22.
Stephens-Jenkins hit five 3-point shots and finished 8 of 18 from the field. Freshman Trinidee Trice scored 12 points off the bench, and sophomore Amy Patton added 10.
Northern Colorado finished with four players in double figures, led by Lauren Oosdyke's 17 points.
The Lumberjacks resume play next Thursday and Saturday at Montana and Montana State.
