According to MLB.com's Mark Sheldon, Reds reliever Nick Masset is working through his rehab session, but isn't pushing it too hard. He was scheduled to throw in the bullpen again today after throwing 40 pitches on Monday.
"You're training your arm to throw all over again," said Masset. "I've had some discomfort in certain areas, but that's kind of the process of coming back and kick-starting the shoulder again. Overall, it's doing very good."
Masset hasn't pitched at all in 2012, but hopes to return soon. He will reportedly mae the long road trip with the team starting tomorrow, but expects to work with the Reds in Goodyear on a rehab assignment soon.
