New York strip club refuses to air Giants games
By Sid Saraf, FOXSports.com Strip clubs are a business. Right now, the New York Giants are bad for business. Rick's Cabaret, a well-known fixture in the New York City naked industry, have had it up to here with the 0-5 Big Blue. So much so, that they've decided to stop showing Giants games in the club, according to Busted Coverage. The club released this statement: Rick’s Cabaret New York, the famous gentlemen’s club in midtown Manhattan, will no longer show NY Giants football games on the club’s numerous Hi-Def TVs and big screens. “It has become too painful to watch the Giants lose week after week,” said Rick’s Cabaret Girl Monica.“Nobody throws a party better than Rick’s Cabaret–we are all about fun–and it’s no fun watching the Giants anymore,” explained Rick’s Cabaret Girl Lindsay. “We love the Giants, but they get the crowd at our Weekend Football Viewing Parties all depressed.”Rick’s Cabaret Girl Alexandra discussed the Giants/Eagles game. “There’s like a hundred sexy topless girls here and everyone was exceedingly happy until it became clear during the second half that Eli Manning and the Giants were going to lose again.”Rick’s Cabaret Girl Yvonne said, “I’ve been showing off my new 34Ds and getting compliments all the time, except right after Giants games–the guys are sort of deflated–they take that football stuff too seriously!”“We will continue to show all other NFL teams and sporting contests on our TVs,” said club spokesman Lonnie Hanover. Don't you think the club is coming off a tad parental? Apparently, since the patrons can no longer be trusted to watch the Giants cheerfully, they're not allowed to watch anymore. Sorry, guys. You'll have to stick to paying $25 for a vodka soda, eating at a days-old buffet and listening to "Pour Some Sugar on Me" on an endless loop. I wouldn't be surprised if that was on top of a cover charge. Actually, that still might be better than watching the Giants. Questions? Comments?
