LAS CRUCES, N.M. (AP) -- Gordo Castillo scored 17 points to lead New Mexico State to a 69-64 victory over Pacific on Saturday night.
Renaldo Dixon added 13 points for the Aggies (5-7).
Castillo and Bandja Sy hit back-to-back 3-pointers to put New Mexico State up 52-43 with 11:05 remaining.
Pacific (6-5) closed to within three with a pair of Allen Huddleston free throws with 3:11 to play, but Castillo hit another 3-pointer from the corner with 3:02 left. The Tigers closed to within three again with 6.4 seconds left, but Castillo converted a one-and-one opportunity at the line to seal the win.
Sam Willard led Pacific with 15 points and 11 rebounds, and Pat Eveland added 14 points.
