Nebraska dominates Jackson State in 76-57 win

LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) -- Brandon Richardson scored all 10 of his points in the first 8 minutes of the second half to lead a surge that broke open a close game and sent Nebraska to a 76-57 victory over Jackson State on Wednesday night.

Joining Richardson in double figures for the Cornhuskers (5-2) were Caleb Walker and Eshaunte Jones with 13 points each and Brandon Ubel and Drake Beranek with 10 apiece.

Tyrone Hanson had 15 points to lead the Tigers (1-6). Jenirro Bush added 14 and Grand Maxey 10.

Nebraska closed the first half on an 8-1 run capped by a three-point play by Ubel that made the halftime score 28-21.

The Huskers hit three consecutive 3-pointers, the last two from Richardson, to go up 45-32 with 15:40 left. Nebraska took a 20-point lead at 52-32 on Richardson's layup with 12:17 remaining to cap a 16-0 run, and Nebraska cruised home.
