GREELEY, Colo. -- The Northern Arizona women's basketball team lost to Northern Colorado 72-58 on Thursday despite a season-high 22 points from Tyler Stephens-Jenkins.

NAU (7-13, 2-5 Big Sky) found itself down 16 points at halftime, at 38-22, after Northern Colorado shot 58 percent and the Lumberjacks shot just 27 percent over the first 20 minutes.

NAU outscored the Bears in the second half 36-34 with the help of a 5-for-12 effort from 3-point range and a 9-for-12 performance at the free-throw line. The Lumberjacks shot 80 percent from the charity stripe for the game.

Stephens-Jenkins hit five 3-pointers and was 8 for 18 from the field. The sophomore from Goodyear finished just a point shy of her career high.

Freshman Trinidee Trice scored 12 points off the bench, her second double-digit scoring performance in the last three games. Sophomore Amy Patton added 10 points off the bench.

Northern Colorado finished with four players in double figures, led by Lauren Oosdyke's 17 points.
