FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. -- The Northern Arizona basketball team plays its home opener Thursday when it hosts Fresno State at the Rolle Activity Center.

The game will be televised live at 8 p.m. on FOX Sports Arizona Plus and Fox College Sports Atlantic.

After falling in two road games to begin the season, the Lumberjacks look to find a winning groove against the Bulldogs. Fresno State holds a 6-0 advantage over NAU all-time, including a 71-67 overtime win last year.

Quinton Upshur leads NAU in scoring at 16.5 points per game, good enough for sixth in the Big Sky. Jordyn Martin is averaging 7.5 points and 6.5 rebounds per game.

The Lumberjacks rank in the top three in the Big Sky in 3-point field goals made (7.0), assists (12.0) and steals (7.5).

Fresno State returns four starters from last season's squad that went 21-18 and advanced to the College Basketball Invitational championship game. Fresno State was projected by the Mountain West media to finish seventh in the regular-season conference standings.

Fresno State opened the season with an 89-74 loss at Pepperdine before it defeated Bristol 93-55.
