SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) -- Mikh McKinney scored 26 points Thursday night as Sacramento State beat Northern Arizona 87-70 for its fourth straight win.

The Hornets (9-11, 5-6 Big Sky) opened with a 16-4 run capped by a 3-pointer by Dreon Barlett. The Lumberjacks closed to within five thanks to a 9-2 run, but McKinney's jumper started a 13-2 run that put the Hornets up 41-34 at halftime.

Sacramento State then opened the second half with a 12-2 run. NAU responded with an 8-0 run led by Gaellan Bewernick, cutting the lead to 10, and Aaseem Dixon made it a six-point game with a layup. But McKinney hit a 3-pointer and Barlett a jumper and a trey, and the Hornets remained in control the rest of the way.

Barlett and Zack Mills scored 15 points each as Sacramento state shot 53.5 percent from the floor and 50 percent from 3-point range.

Dixon led NAU with 14 points while Bewernick scored 13 and Quinton Upshur added 12.

"It's very simple math tonight," said Lumberjacks coach Jack Murphy. "You're not going to win any games with five assists and 20 turnovers. It's very simple. We have to correct it somehow. We've seen it over the last three road games, and we can't continue to play like this."
