TAUPLITZ, Austria (AP) Austrian ski jumper Lukas Mueller has been hospitalized with a suspected spine injury after crashing during test ski flying on the world championship hill.

The Austria Press Agency says an equipment problem caused Mueller to fall after landing a 120-meter jump in heavy snowfall, and that he briefly lost consciousness.

The Kulm, one of the world's largest ski flying hills, has been tested by jumpers since Monday. The worlds start with qualifying on Thursday.

Mueller, who was the 2009 junior world champion on the normal hill, competed in 16 World Cup events from 2009-13, and finished sixth at the first stop of the 2009-10 Four Hills Tour in Oberstdorf, Germany, for his best result.
