Moving the chains: Charles takes over for L.J.

BY foxsports • November 6, 2009

Michael Crabtree has more catches (five) in one game than Darrius Heyward-Bey has (four) in seven. Nice job Raiders.

Bills QB Ryan Fitzpatrick has won five straight starts. It doesn't make him a good fantasy option, and that streak likely ends against HOU.

Even with just two huge games, Miles Austin is ranked sixth in fantasy points among wide receivers despite starting only twice.

Eagles signed former Wisconsin RB P.J. Hill from Saints practice squad Wed. Early indication that Westbrook sits out Week 8 with concussion?

Beanie Wells had six red-zone looks against the Giants on Sunday night. Hightower and Wright had one each. New king in the AZ backfield?

Interesting that Brett Favre suddenly has a hip issue and that he hasn't been feeling in well in over a week. No Wrangler or Sears for me.

Saints being able to run the ball is scarier than machete-wielding kitten army. Bell or Pierre Thomas for the rest of the season? Discuss.

Ricky Williams and Ronnie Brown have 13 TDs this season. More than OAK, STL, CLE, TEN, WAS, KC, DET, CAR & BUF.

Of Wes Welker's last 10 TD rec., nine are from inside the red zone. Six have come from inside 10 yards, including four inside of five yards.

Would you rather: Try to tackle Adrian Peterson or chest-bump a VW Passat at 30 mph? I'd probably have to coin-flip it.

Do the Browns really have anything to lose at this point? Why not start Josh Cribbs at QB? At least go 4-12 with Quinn instead of Anderson.

Titans are in the same boat as Cleveland. Why not prove to yourself that Vince Young isn't the answer? We know Kerry Collins isn't.

Imagine if Steven Jackson played for a good team. 4.4 YPC on a bad team with a bad offensive line is simply going to waste in St. Louis.

Panthers are giving Jake Delhomme another start on Sunday vs AZ. Ironically, his last multi-TD game came against the Cards in Wk8 of 2008.

Waiver wire pickups at tight end don't often return much value. Fred Davis — targeted 10 times on Monday night — could be an exception.

If you have any doubts, Shonn Greene's worth the No. 1 waiver priority or your entire FAAB piggy bank — even with Thomas Jones healthy.

Three QB I'd buy now: Kurt Warner (w/Leinart insurance), Donovan McNabb, Matt Cassel (KC is horrible, but he should gradually improve).

Three QB I'd sell now: Tony Romo (bad fantasy playoff sked), Matt Ryan (tough sked overall), Brett Favre (value can't get much higher).

Kyle Orton would have been in the above group, but good luck finding a fantasy owner who'll give you fair value for him in a trade.

Three RB I'd buy now: Michael Turner (good matchups ahead), Knowshon Moreno, Chris Johnson (Titans should have a pulse in second half).

Three RB I'd sell now: Thomas Jones (beat up on BUF & OAK), Ricky Williams, Laurence Maroney (good luck getting value for him).

Three WR I'd buy now: Greg Jennings (it's only a matter of time), Santana Moss (apparently, Sherm Lewis gets it), Braylon Edwards.

Three WR I'd sell now: Miles Austin (if the offer is big), Roddy White (brutal sked down the stretch), Hines Ward.

One TE I'd buy now: Jason Witten — the emergence of Miles Austin should help open things up for him in the middle of the field.

One TE I'd sell now: Vernon Davis — in a reverse Witten sort of way with Crabtree taking some targets, production comes in huge streaks.

Week 8 looks very tough at the book. Has anyone ever lost by 59 only be favored by three in their next game? That's TEN against the Jags this week.
