COLUMBIA, Mo. -- Missouri quarterback Maty Mauk is
expected to start again this week in place of an injured James
Franklin.
Coach Gary Pinkel said Monday that Franklin
is questionable but he will be evaluated again Thursday. Franklin
sprained his shoulder Oct. 12 at Georgia and Pinkel said two days later
he expected the quarterback to be out 3-5
weeks.
Mauk, a redshirt freshman, has completed 43 of
89 passes for 730 yards and five touchdowns since relieving Franklin
three weeks ago. His 114 rushing yards Saturday helped No. 9 Missouri
(8-1, 4-1 Southeastern Conference) defeat Tennessee,
31-3.
The Tigers travel to face Kentucky (2-6, 0-4)
this week.
