Mind-blowing photo of a flying helmet makes it look like a ghost is playing football

Dallas Morning News photographer Jae Lee captured this stunning image with a perfectly timed shot during a high school football game between Evangel Christian Academy and Allen, and it's freaking out people on the Internet.

So what's actually happening in this photo? The player in the white jersey on the right side had his helmet knocked off, and Lee took the photo as it flew through the air and was completely level, making it look like there should be a body holding it in place.
