Miller back in Miami after taking hit to head
MIAMI (AP) -- Heat forward Mike Miller returned to Miami on Wednesday, one day after leaving his team's game against the Indiana Pacers after taking a blow to the head.
Tests performed in Indianapolis, including an X-ray and CT scan, showed no abnormalities. Miller was hurt Tuesday after getting elbowed by the Pacers' Jeff Foster, leaving the game a short time later.
It was the third game in a five-day span where Miller took a jarring hit. He was tested for a concussion after getting hit in the head at Detroit last Friday, and checked out again following a hard screen by Boston's Kevin Garnett on Sunday.
Miller wears a special mouthpiece because of past concussion-related issues.
The Heat say Miller will be evaluated again after the All-Star break. They played Wednesday at Toronto.
