Michelle Margaux named new reporter for Tampa Bay Rays broadcasts on FOX Sports Sun
TAMPA, Fla. -- FOX Sports Sun, the statewide television home of the Tampa Bay Rays, announced Michelle Margaux has joined its roster of Rays on-air talent for the 2018 season. In her new role, Margaux will serve as the lead in-game reporter on Rays television broadcasts this season, as well as host of select “Inside the Rays” episodes.
Margaux comes to FOX Sports Sun from FOX Sports San Diego, where she spent the past two years in a variety of on-air roles. In addition to serving as in-game reporter for select Padres telecasts and hosting the network’s weekly show, “Padres POV,” she covered college basketball, college baseball, high school football and AHL hockey. Furthermore, she was a part of the network’s local coverage surrounding the 2016 MLB All-Star Game and the 2017 World Baseball Classic.
“I couldn’t be more excited to join the FOX Sports Sun team and cover the Tampa Bay Rays this season,” Margaux said. “Baseball has always been my biggest passion and the Rays are a first-class organization with an extremely bright future. I can't wait to immerse myself in the city and community of Tampa Bay year round.”
Margaux’s on-air experience extends beyond FOX Sports San Diego having begun her career as an anchor and reporter at KRIS, an NBC affiliate in Corpus Christi, Texas. During her time there, Margaux served as a multimedia journalist and co-host of the "Friday Night Fever" football show, as well as covered the Corpus Christi Hooks, the Houston Astros’ Double-A affiliate.
