University of Miami redshirt freshman offensive lineman Hunter Knighton has been released from the hospital after two weeks.

Knighton, who was reportedly unconscious following a workout on Feb. 26, had been taken to UM Hospital. His family had been with him. Further details have not been released.

The 6-foot-6, 278-pounder, a former three-star recruit, missed the 2013 season after shoulder surgery.

"To everyone who has been praying the past few weeks thank you," Knighton said in a Facebook statement. "I'm finally out of the hospital. Especially thanks to best family, coaches, doctors and support group for getting me this far."
