Meyer: fantasy football wide receivers draft strategy rankings
With the 2016 NFL Draft in the rearview mirror and most NFL free agents with their new squads, here are the FOX Fantasy department's way-too-early 2016 fantasy football draft strategy rankings.
There are four studs who sit atop the first tier in the 2016 wide receiver player pool: Antonio Brown, Julio Jones, DeAndre Hopkins, and Odell Beckham Jr.
Brown and Jones both compiled 136 receptions (NFL-most) last year. Jones had 37 more yards, but Brown scored two more TDs. Plus, Ben Roethlisberger missed four games in 2015. Jones’ QB, Matt Ryan, didn’t miss a game.
Speaking of quarterbacks who miss games, it would be a crime not to include Dez Bryant into the mix. Bryant had his streak of 1,200 yard seasons snapped in 2015 after three-consecutive campaigns. He played in only nine games and Tony Romo played in four. In those four contests, Bryant scored two TDs. When healthy, there is always a strong chance that you’ll see Bryant throw the “X” up.
