Mets RP Jerry Blevins uses new MS paint Twitter avatar, catches heat from Brandon McCarthy
We have a very important news update from the world of Twitter, where relief pitcher Jerry Blevins, traded Monday from the Washington Nationals to the New York Mets, needed to update his Twitter avatar to reflect his uniform change.
So what to do? He asked fans for help. And Amazin' Avenue writer Steve Schreiber delivered ... something resembling Blevins that he conceived in MS Paint, a la Fernando Tatis. Take a look:

It's pretty fantastic, yet another MLB pitcher with an MS Paint Twitter avatar, Blevins' former Athletics teammate and current Dodgers starter Brandon McCarthy, created his avatar by himself. With no outside assistance.
Can't wait to be a part of the @Mets. Calling Mets fans, need a new avatar. Any helpers?

@BMcCarthy32 my avatar will be better than yours. Plus, you don't have enough edge for a blue glove. I know it, and you know it.
