Mercury to open 2015 season on June 5 vs. San Antonio

PHOENIX --€“ The three-time WNBA Champion Phoenix Mercury will open the 2015 season on Friday, June 5, at US Airways Center against the San Antonio Stars. The season opener will feature a special pregame ceremony celebrating the 2014 WNBA Champions with a ring presentation and a championship banner unveil.

The Mercury's 34-game slate runs through Sept. 13 and features six nationally televised games.

Ten of the Mercury's 17 home games overall will be played on the weekend, including five Friday night contests, one Saturday night game and four Sunday afternoon games. Five of the last seven regular season games will be on the road.

Tickets for the home opener on Friday, June 5, 2015 and the other 16 Mercury regular season home games go on sale Friday, Dec. 12, at noon by calling 602-252-WNBA or by visiting PhoenixMercury.com.
