Mavs suffer injury setbacks with Larkin, Harris
DALLAS – The Dallas Mavericks sustained a pair of injury setbacks on Friday as rookie first-round pick Shane Larkin suffered a broken ankle during summer league practice and veteran signee Devin Harris is revealed to have a toe injury that unplugs him from his planned three-year $9-million deal.
The injury news regarding two members of the planned Dallas backcourt comes on the same day Dallas reached a deal with veteran Monta Ellis.
Harris could still return with a new deal following his recovery. Larkin’s injury will require surgery and a three-month rehab.
The Harris setback could conceivably make room for Dallas’ pursuit of center Samuel Dalembert.
Yes it is true. But if you think I won’t come back stronger then before then you got the wrong guy. #GoMavs
