One night after producing their best television rating on FOX Sports Southwest in almost five years, the Dallas Mavericks shattered that mark on Tuesday (March 6) by scoring their second-highest rating of all-time with an impressive 7.0 for their game against the New York Knicks.

It was the best rating for a Mavericks game on FOX Sports Southwest since a record 8.2 set on March 19, 2002 against the Los Angeles Lakers, and topped Monday’s 5.5 rating against the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Tuesday’s game was the No. 3 program of the night in Dallas-Fort Worth behind CBS’s NCIS (11.6) and NCIS: Los Angeles (9.3).

An average of 179,500 homes in Dallas-Fort Worth tuned in to watch the Mavericks victory. The game’s final hour was the most-watched program in the market, averaging an 8.1 rating and 208,000 homes.

For the season, Mavericks games on FOX Sports Southwest are averaging a 3.1 rating, 46 percent ahead of last year after 34 games.
