Mavs score best TV rating in nearly five years

The Dallas Mavericks’ 96-92 victory over the Los Angeles Clippers on Monday produced the team’s highest television rating on FOX Sports Southwest in nearly five years, according to Nielsen Media Research.

The game averaged a 4.5 household rating in Dallas-Fort Worth and was seen in average of 116,000 homes in the market. It was the best rating for a Mavericks game on FOX Sports Southwest since a 6.2 on March 30, 2007 vs. the New York Knicks and topped this season’s best 4.3 rating on Jan. 25 against the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Monday’s telecast received its largest audience from 9:45-10:00 p.m. CT when it averaged a 7.2 rating and 186,000 homes as the Mavericks posted their fourth consecutive win.

Mavericks telecasts on FOX Sports Southwest this season are averaging a 2.8 rating and are up 24 percent over last year at this point of the season.
