Matt Ryan puts on caddie uniform for Masters

Quarterback Matt Ryan had a different uniform recently - the white overalls of an Augusta National caddie.

Ryan was at the Masters golf tournament as Stewart Cink's caddie in the Par-3 contest.

"He reached out to me and asked if I would be willing to do it," Ryan said. "I said 'Are you crazy? Would I be willing to do it? Of course I'll do it.'"

Ryan has played golf at Augusta National before but this is his first trip to the Masters. He got an inside view of the place.

"Normally my kids caddie," Cink said. "I thought it would be fun to change it up. I know Matt from home at the golf course (TPC Sugarloaf). We see each other all the time and have played together once or twice. He's a good guy to be around and I thought it would be fun. I also thought he would enjoy getting inside the ropes and seeing the crowds."

Ryan even got to hit Cink's tee shot at the 135-yard ninth hole. It didn't work out so well.

"I hit a 52 (-degree wedge) about 160 yards," Ryan said. "I hit it way too far to the right. Luckily he still let me putt it and I got to redeem myself. I made the putt."

Ryan didn't go unnoticed. He was recognized by the youngsters waiting for autographs off the ninth green and spent time signing hats, balls and Masters flags.

Ryan said he is starting his offseason workout regime.
