ORLANDO, Fla. -- In celebration of the Orlando Magic's 25th anniversary season and to honor the rich history of Orlando Magic basketball, the team will don the original jersey -- the signature black, pinstriped jersey with throwback team logos worn through the 1989-94 seasons -- starting with the matchup Saturday night with the Miami Heat.

The team also featured the jerseys through the 1998 season as an alternate.

The white and black pinstriped jerseys were worn for some of the greatest Magic moments in team history, including Scott Skiles' 30 assist performance on Dec. 30, 1990 to break the NBA record for most assists in a single game; Shaquille O'Neal breaking the backboard and Nick Anderson scoring a career-high 50 points in the same game on April 23, 1993; when Nick Anderson stole the ball from Michael Jordan in Game 1 of the 1995 Eastern Conference Semifinals; the Magic's first run to the NBA Finals in 1995; Dennis Scott setting a then-NBA single game record with 11 3-pointers on April 18, 1996; and Penny Hardaway's 42 and 41 points, respectively, in Games 3 and 4 of the first round of the 1997 NBA Playoffs against Miami, still ranking as one of the best playoff performances in Magic history.
