ORLANDO, Fla. — Glen Davis has been fined an undisclosed amount by the Orlando Magic following an incident involving him early Saturday morning at a local motel, the video of which has gone viral.

"We will not tolerate or condone this type of behavior," general manager Rob Hennigan said in a statement released by the team before its game Wednesday night against the Milwaukee Bucks. "As we have stated repeatedly, when a player puts on an Orlando Magic uniform, he is representing something much greater than himself. We expect our players to uphold a certain standard of conduct and behavior at all times."

Davis, who is making $6 million this season, has yet to play because of a left foot which has required two operations after it was fractured in January. He stayed back in Orlando last Friday night while the rest of the team flew to Atlanta after a loss to the Boston Celtics.

The video shows Davis ripping a keyboard from the front desk computer and angrily throwing it after he was told he could not book a room at a downtown Travelodge because the motel was sold out. Police were called to the scene, but Davis was not arrested.

On November 11, Davis apologized to his fans via Twitter:

The Magic have been without both Davis and Tobias Harris since the regular season began and lost another power forward when Solomon Jones injured his left knee Oct. 30 at Minnesota. Coach Jacque Vaughn said he should have a better idea about the return of Harris, who was acquired from the Bucks in February, when the Magic have only two games next week and will be able to judge in practice his progress from a sprained left ankle.

"We're going to wait and make sure that he's comfortable back playing, that he's healthy and 100 percent," Vaughn said.
