Magic assign Devyn Marble to the D-League's Erie BayHawks

ORLANDO, Fla. -- For the second time in a little more than a month, the Orlando Magic have assigned rookie Devyn Marble to the Erie BayHawks of the NBA Development League.
The announcement Monday came after the second-round pick out of Iowa spent the past two games on the inactive list, including Saturday night's 108-93 loss to the Dallas Mavericks. Marble had made seven consecutive starts at small forward for the Magic after being recalled from Erie on Jan. 2 but lost that role last week to first-round pick Aaron Gordon.
Marble averaged 4.1 points, 3.1 rebounds and 2.1 assists in 23.1 minutes as a starter. In his two games with Erie after being assigned there Dec. 26, he had a total of 40 points while playing a total of 75 minutes.
In Gordon and guard Elfrid Payton, the Magic are one of only two NBA teams currently starting two rookies. The other is the Philadelphia 76ers.
