Lynx re-sign center Jessica Adair
MINNEAPOLIS/ST. PAUL – The Minnesota Lynx have re-signed center Jessica Adair. Per team policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Adair was pivotal in Minnesota's championship run last year, appearing in 31 regular season games averaging 4.3 points, 2.9 rebounds while shooting .485 percent from the floor. Minnesota went 16-1 when she logged double-digit minutes. Adair upped her averages to 5.8 points and 3.6 rebounds in 12.3 minutes per game in eight playoff contests in 2011.
"We all saw the growth in Jessica's game as the season progressed last year," said Lynx Executive Vice President Roger Griffith. "She provided great energy off the bench and made tremendous strides in becoming an integral piece to our championship season. We're looking forward to watching her continued development and we believe the best is yet to come for her."
A graduate of George Washington University, Adair was originally drafted by the Phoenix Mercury with the 34th overall pick in the 2009 WNBA Draft.
